One Laptop Per Child

Each month, we give a portion of our profits to a very deserving charitable organization. We’re proud to support people who are doing good things in our community and beyond.
We think it’s super sweet when independent businesses make an effort to support charitable causes in their communities and beyond. Now, we’re no Gates Foundation, but we figured we’ll do what we can. Every little bit counts, right?! So, we’re proud to introduce the official These Are Things Department of Giving!
It was totally impossible to pick just one nonprofit, so we’ve decided to donate a portion of our profits to a new organization every month or so. Fun!
Our first goal is to support the super-deserving One Laptop Per Child project. OLPC’s mission is to create educational opportunities for the world’s poorest children, by providing each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-power, connected laptop. How cool is that?
We just made our first donation on Monday. It’s a good start for sure. Enjoy, children of the world!
