Each month, we give a portion of our profits to a very deserving charitable organization. We’re proud to support people who are doing good things in our community and beyond.
Here in Columbus, we’re fortunate to have the Columbus Idea Foundry, an incredible workspace and resource for makers of all kinds. Think laser cutters, CNC machines, welding, and woodworking equipment, plus a ton of talented artisans who know how to use it all.
Last week, Omar and I spent a couple of hours at the Idea Foundry learning how to use the laser cutting system. Our friend Paul taught the class, and it was a blast. And yes, you can expect some laser cut goods to hit the shop eventually.
When we heard about CIF’s Kickstarter campaign to raise money for new equipment and more space, we knew it’d be the perfect choice for our August giving project. We’re happy to report that the project has been funded and actually exceeded its goal. This means that the Idea Foundry will soon have double the space and more fun tools. Good news for anyone in Columbus who likes to make things!
